MORTIMER’S MONTHlY Missive

I trust this finds you rejoicing in the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus! Halleluia for this amazingly great Good News!

Most of you are probably aware that this has been the Silver Jubilee Celebration of 25 years of seminary graduates. If you’ve ever been to campus for graduation ceremonies, you know what a festive and exciting event it is. So on the special occasion of this being the 25th graduating class, that joy was multiplied many times over. God has been so good to this ministry, blessing it in so many ways... not the least of which is by providing faithful supporters like YOU! For this we can not stop praising God!

Here is what co-founder Mrs. Mary Titus said about this Silver Jubilee celebration:

I have immense pleasure in expressing thanks to every one who helped us to sustain this ministry for the last 25 years. Celebrating Silver Jubilee is a privilege and it happens because of your prayers and support. It is the celebration of everyone who contributed for the development of this ministry. I am thankful to each and everyone. I pray that your continuous prayers will strengthen us to achieve our future goals. Once again I thank all our family, friends and prayer partners for their continuous prayers and support

The Silver Jubilee celebration on campus in India was a testament to the faithfulness of the Lord! Over the last 25 years, more than 2,200 students have completed training at the COTR Seminary - the vast majority of them are now working in various mission fields in India. Many are still leading the churches they have planted. Many large organizations exist today in many countries, started by graduates from COTR Seminary. This is the fruit of seeds planted, watered, and fertilized through your partnership and prayers. The Good News of Jesus continues to spread!

Yet, in order to add more power, increased impact and effectiveness to these students and graduates, we still want to cover each one in prayer by name. Of course a general prayer for the students and staff to be protected and anointed is appreciated. But how much better it is when individuals are brought before the Lord by their own name! So... I will repeat the invitation for you to become an intercessors for one of our students or staff.

If you are looking for a way to impact lives in India... If you want to have the satisfaction of knowing that you are being used of God for a noble purpose, let me send you a name to pray for. You will become an important part in our efforts to COVER THE CAMPUS with prayer!

The prayer initiative called “Cover the Campus” has been met with a good response. And so a big THANK YOU goes to all who have secured the name of someone to pray for. Yet there still remains many students and staff that need to have someone to pray for them.. There are about 1200 people involved in the various aspects of the ministry in India. We still need to find more than 1000 people to pray for each one, personally, individually. Most, of course, are students.

If you can pray for one of these 1000, please reply to me indicating your preference of who you want to pray for: a student in Seminary, a child in the lower school, a staff member, or faculty member. I will send you a name and what their place is. If you are able to take responsibility to find several other individuals to also pray, I will send you as many names as you think you can find pray-er’s for.
For most of you, the name and place information may be all you need in order to intercede for them since the Lord certainly knows the details of their life. However, should you want further information so that you might pray more specifically, I will also include the email of a contact person in India who will be able to supply more details.

I trust that you will consider participating in the 3rd Annual Titus Classic golf fund-raising event coming up on May 15 in Dallas, TX. And for those of you in the St. Louis, MO area, this is a preliminary announcement of a fund raising golf event to be held August 18 to benefit the ministries of Christ for India. Look for future information on specific times, location, and registration.
